Men in the Moutains

Vacation

It's been awhile since my last post...I had a birthday and we headed out for a little vacation. We went to see the leaves up in the Smoky Mountains....they were incredible! The boys did some fly fishing and we had a great time relaxing. Here are some pics....

Cooking, Running, Day Off

I just like this picture...this is what happens every meal b/c she'll take NO HELP from anyone..you can't tell but yogart is everywhere!

I guess the cooler weather has us motivated...

We've been cooking alot...Asian salmon, chicken and wild rice salad, homemade BBQ pizza, shrimp and grits, pasta chicken Caesar salad, chocolate creme brulee and we even had the right pairings (we had more, but those are just the fancy, new things we cooked)

We've started running together...all of us! AnnieBoo calls it "a Race" (i think this comes from the Backyardigian Race around the world cartoon) She loves to race, but she gets to be pushed in the stroller! LUCKY!! It's actually going pretty well...i thought I was gonna die after the first run - but its easier now.

G had a day off...I found a great deal on a baby carrier backpack in another city...We went on a road trip to pick up the pack, ate lunch with Buzz, detoured to Stone Mountain and a cotton field.

And, YEAH for all my favorite TV shows starting last week! We are so thankful for the DVR. We're still trying to catch up from premier week.
Thats the latest this week...

How Kids Think...

Check out this website...http://howkidsthink.wordpress.com/
I'm LOVING the discussion they have these days! I don't comment on anything, but I enjoy gathering info and learning about different views on parenting...
Here's a little sample....
"Thanks for visiting the How Kids Think blog. How Kids Think is a project of God’s World Publications, the publisher of God’s World News and WORLD Magazine. We hope you’ll bookmark us and visit often over the next two months to participate in our research of what it means to teach children from a biblical worldview in a postmodern world."

Here is one of the latest questions they discussed.
"How do we go about equipping kids during their first eighteen years for the kinds of attacks they’ll face in the “real” world without overprotecting on the one hand and overwhelming on the other? How do we maintain the right balance between what is taught and what is caught?"
Interesting stuff, huh? I love all this kind of stuff.
